Beam Clip Fastening Mechanisms
The Intevia® narrow profile vertical beam clip is a snap fit type fastener with an integrated SMA actuator. As the actuator contracts, the clip is bent backwards and the beam releases.
Designed for moderate loads, these fasteners can be scaled from a basis footprint of 0.3 by 0.3 inches and a height of 1.0 inch to larger sizes to meet strength requirements.
The Intevia® beam clip is ideal for use in electronics case assembly and other snap-fit installations.
