Fastener Operating System

The Intevia^® fastener operating system (FOS) consists of an integrated suite of firmware that is incorporated into the proprietary electronic hardware.

The FOS provides a wide range of programmable services:

Communications and networking
Sensing
Input/output switching
Addressable memory
Energy optimization
Ancillary switching logic

Application Software

Application software controls assembly sequencing and system functionality. The Intevia^® database consists of a server and database application that provides two functions:

Maintaining a global record of the fastening mechanism’s unique identities, records, access security provisions, operations history, etc.
Maintaining a database of current fastening mechanism and tool operating system firmware/software, applications firmware/software, fastening mechanism configuration and settings information, and general configuration control of all hardware and software items
